Sixth Form Geography Trip to Iceland – October 2012 (47 photos)

Nine sixth form students and two members of staff set off for Iceland on the Friday before half term. The five-day geography trip incorporated both physical and human geography in the study of waterfalls, geysers, coastal features and the Eurasian and North American plate boundary, as well as geothermal energy, farming and the capital city, Reykjavik. A good guide and interesting destination, along with naturally heated springs and swimming pools, allowed students to enjoy geography at its best. Many thanks to Hannah Sargent and Jonathan Slinger who gave up their time to lead and organise the visit.
